While waiting for the shuttle I heard a white male call a black male the N word. But the black male didn't take any offense to it. I didn't know what to do because the black male was smiling at this and patted the while male on the back. I didn't know what to say. Has the N word become a normal thing to say now. Is this what is becoming of our society? I mean I have seen black members of the community call each other that and it be accepted like a nickname but is it now okay to say that word?
Two weeks observing incidents of harsh language, gestures, or behaviors encountered where people refer to different individuals’ or groups’; age, ethnicity, class, color, disability, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. It will be recorded in this running log of these incidents observed during my daily routine, on television, in movies, in advertising, and at school.
