Day 9

Thursday today has been a good day. I was getting ready to go to sleep then I hear this:
Somebody's gotta wear a pretty skirt,

My first thought was what oh cute, but then I heard more of the song. Somebody's gotta be the one to cry
Somebody's gotta let him drive, give him a reason
To hold that door so God made girls


Then I thought not so cute.

I was shocked when I heard this song, how could a female support this view supporting that women are the only people to flirt and that men should be the ones who drive.

I went and looked up the song's lyrics an my conclusion: This is blatant sexist, it doesn't matter if the singer is a female. It is still sexist. The singer is saying the primary purpose for women is to validate men.
